We've crossed the finish line! Thank you all for your support! I wouldn't be posting this without all of the love you helped pour into this project alongside me.
💛Next Steps💛
Before the project was established I raised funds to prepare the campaign by paying out of pocket to perfect the initial mockups. With the extra funds from this campaign I'll be able to get the additional design mockups perfected!!
Other steps included before the final shipping process begins will include:
- Making sure the mockups for the new designs are perfect!
- Getting a final quote once all of the survey answers are in (where everyone will post which design they would like to receive)
- Submitting design for pins to my trusted pin manufacturer
- Obtain packaging materials included boxes, thank you cards, padding and protection, and backing cards for the pins
- Submitting information for taxing purposes and get the taxes paid for
- Finalizing things with the hat manufacturer
- Prep things to send out to everyone and ship!
💛Clearing the Air on Recent Comments💛
Pledging to a project specifically expecting a stretch goal to be guaranteed should not be your intention. The point of a stretch goal is a proposition for going past the initial goal.
The last goal we unlocked was $11,000 for the Pink design. I've been checking the page every day since the campaign (sometimes more than once a day) and never once was it at over $16,000, as awesome as that'd be.
Please understand this was my first ever Kickstarter campaign outside of small pin pre-orders on my online store. The initial goal was to get the first two hats funded. In no way did I state that the stretch goal of the Pigeon hat would GUARANTEE be funded. That's why it was a stretch goal after the main initial goal.
If you wish to cancel your pledge please send me a message through Kickstarter's messaging system.

Again, please keep in mind this is my first Kickstarter campaign. I'm happy that we even funded the project alone, the stretch goals are just additional things to be proud of.
As for the advertising I published the info and updates to every social network platform I have accounts for. Along with that I paid for Facebook and Instagram ads out of pocket to help promote this campaign to those who don't follow me.
I hate to keep mentioning but putting your pledge in expecting the guarantee that a stretch goal will be reached shouldn't be your only reason to pledge. Your support for the initial project should be what persuades your pledge.

💛Final Comments For Now💛
With all of that being said, I'm happy that my first ever Kickstarter project reached over 300%, let alone 100%, funding! Putting together a small pin-preorder is the highest experience I have with this type of project.
It was hard work reaching launch but the rest of the work after that was thanks to all of you and your loving support 💗 and I can't thank you enough for that.
This isn't the end of my path when it comes to crowdfunding future projects. Just because we didn't reach the additional stretch goals doesn't mean I don't plan to pursue those ideas in the future! Keep an open mind and know that I want to grow my design abilities but I can only do so one step at a time.
